Layoffspace – Softening the Blow

Speaking of the unemployed, Mashable has just reported on the launch of Layoffspace, “the only social network for the unemployed” offering support, advice, career counseling, job searches and of course, old fashioned networking.

I haven’t had an opportunity to really dig in to it too much, but I have to tell you, I think that it’s a fabulous idea. Empathy is a great comforter as well as a motivator. After all, it helps to be around people who understand how you feel.
