This is an interesting one. A San Francisco citizen working off his parking fines through Project 20 is upset because the $6 in credit earned does not meet the city’s minimum wage requirements. And of course, the restaurant business has to weigh in on it.
Considering that he owes over $1800 in parking tickets, I can see why $6 and hour would upset him. It’ll take him a very long time to pay that off at that rate.
Or maybe he should just sell his car, pay off the fines and take the bus from now on.
Just a thought.
